―「ひるぎ」とはー

「ひるぎ」はマングローブの一種(いっしゅ)で亜熱帯(あねったい)の地域(ちいき)で、

海水(かいすい)と淡水(たんすい)がまじりあう河口(かこう)付近(ふきん)に生(は)える植物(しょくぶつ)です。

ひるぎの林(はやし)は、多種多様(たしゅたよう)な生物(せいぶつ)が、命(いのち)を育(はぐく)み生活(せいかつ)しているため、「命(いのち)のゆりかご」とも呼(よ)ばれます。

様々(さまざま)な人(ひと)たちが集(つど)う学(まな)び舎(や)、そんな場所(ばしょ)を目指(めざ)しています。

<What is Hirugi>

Hirugi is a kind of mangrove. They live at estuary where freshwater and seawater are mixed in the subtropics.

Forest of Hirugi is called “Cradle of life” because many kinds of creatures live in the forest.

We hope to be a learning house where various people study together.
